Global public markets’ volatility increase and especially those relating to British voters going to Brexit elections in two weeks. Probability is higher for a no to Brexit according to Bloomberg data – meaning they’ll likely vote to stay.
Private market investors seem to have shifted focus from growth to profitability and growth. Several journalists and savvy people are now picking up on the cooler climate in tech and VC fundings.
In Stockholm the Brilliant Minds conference brought attention to the city as Eric Schmidt (Chairman of Alphabet), Niklas Zennström (Atomico) and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales were amongst others the notable participants Gettyimages
What was the outcome – well, apart from more artist events and bigger parties – the markets are cooling down.
